It's Hammer & Dragon Time

热血到爆!

Some mighty goodies just arrived to give this really hot-blooded month on my blog a level-up! ^^

Super Robot Chogokin GaoGaiGar, Key of Victory Set 1, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki And Dragreder set and S.I.C. Kiwami Damashii Kamen Rider Agito Trinity Form.

Pre-ordered all of them the second they were made available a few months ago. ^^ Super Robot Chogokin GaoGaiGar and Goldion Hammer set are of course the highlight of this batch of purchases, since it's one of my favorite robot design of all time. A hot-blooded robot with a bad-ass hammer is definitely a combination of pure awesomeness.

As a Super Robot Chogokin release, the completed figure doesn't come with the Final Fusion gimmick, but the boxes of GaoGaiGar and Goldion Hammer set do have a simple gattai gimmick. ^^

A very nice display even before the figures are out of their boxes. ^^

Re-watched a few episodes of the anime right after taking pictures of the boxes XD

Final Fusion!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki And Dragreder set is an awesome deluxe set featuring the Kamen Rider and his dragon. From a few reviews I read when the figure came out (from Shishioh Dotnet and Hero Figure for example), this action figure is intrinsically great in terms of look, details, articulation, and the bonus parts of course. However, when it was first announced quite some time ago, I couldn't help it but to associate it as Bandai's response to Max Factory's Figma version, which was released almost a year ago. ^^;

"What? They (Max Factory) charge 3,200 Yen (inclusive of tax) for a Kamen Rider Ryuki with half a dragon? We're going to put in a full dragon with a display base for an extra 800 Yen, plus everything they offered. That will show them we are better at doing Kamen Rider action figures, ya~"

Is that how it went down between the two companies? I would only imagine so and laugh. The more the companies try to outdo each others, the more goodies they tend to throw in to up their offers. S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knight and Dark Wing Set is another great example of this ongoing market warfare, and I got that one pre-ordered too. ^^

Apart from these four items, I'm waiting for another huge one to come in, hopefully before the end of this week. ^^

Hahaha I do agree. With how often Tamashii Nations release limited figures and separate-release accessories, I can help but think that the release of SHF Ryuuki with FULL ACCESSORIES had something to do with Figma Dragon Knight hahaha.

Hey, if rivalry is what Tamashii Nations needs to make them do better proportioned, more accessories, and not-limited figures, I'm all for it hahaha.

How much did you pay for the entire Gaogaigar set?

OMG, you got SHF Ryuki. In my opinion, I prefer this set over Master Gundam and Fuunsaiki in which it came out in the same day as this set. Definitely, this is the best effort Bandai has put into a Figuart. Very looking your review of it and hope you get more Figuarts in the future.
