HG 1/144 Exia Part 7

"Setsuna F. Seiei, exterminating the target!" IV

I'm reusing the same catch phrase from Part 9 of the review on 1/100 scale Gundam Exia as the title there. ^^ Also, I think I'll probably be using it for at least once in future reviews of the other versions of Gundam Exia yet to be shown. I wonder how many times does Setsuna have to "exterminate" his targets until he runs out of Gundam Exias on my book. XD

This is going to be a posting featuring action poses from the just completed HG 1/144 scale version. ^^

With support from Action Display Base 2.

The GN Sword still looks really awesome in this smaller scale version. ^^

Can be posed reaching for the beam saber from the back of its shoulder armor with ease, and the option spread palm compliments this pose very nicely as well. Too bad there's only one beam saber included. ^^;

Long time no see GN Vulcan. ^^

Ground poses aren't too great for this kit as compared to the 1/100 scale version due to the lack of separate hip joints, and the really stiff ankle joint isn't helpful as well. Adding on to that, the weapon combo of this kit isn't as extensive as its larger counterpart as well since only one beam saber is included, plus no beam dagger at the same time.

Still, this is a great HG kit in my opinion. It's not as great as the 1/100 scale version because the latter is exceptional good, even within its own series. As compared to some other HG kits, merits such double ball-type joints for the shoulder block, ball-type joint for the groin and almost a single leg frame part for the near 180-degree knee bend are really awesome. With a display stand, the flexibility of those joints can be demonstrated through dynamic poses of the kit, especially the ones with the GN Sword that features accurate representation of its mode change gimmick.

The last posting for this kit, featuring more comparison with its First Grade equivalence coming up next. ^^
