Figma Haruhi School Summer Fuku Ver. Part 3

Where's Mikuru when you need her

Haruhi has completely dominated this blog since Wednesday. XD

The articulation design is pretty standard actually, so I won't be discussing that area again. However, one of this figure's joint design must be "highlighted": ^^

A waist joint that allows side-to-side and forward-backward bends, where the joint is at waist level and not embedded inside the chest. ^^

There's nothing too special about that joint either, but seeing how most of the action figures I reviewed recently before Figma Haruhi, like Garo Kiwami Damasii Garo, Sci-fi Revoltech Predator and Figma Kamen Rider Thrust all went for the chest joint design instead, I thought the very conventional waist joint design on this figure deserves some special mentioning. ^^

On the other hand, even though I mentioned in the previous posting that I like the proportion of this figure, there's one part that seemed somewhat weird to me. ^^;

The legs are a bit too curved I think, unnaturally so. ^^; Then again, I'm not sure if it's the design of the figure that made them so, since Yuki and Mikuru from the same series seem to feature the same leg design, ^^; or if the girls were indeed shown with such legs in the anime series. ^^;

The strange look of the legs (to me) is very obvious in plain standing pose, but with action poses adjusted, everything looks fine. ^^

The "famous detective" armband is not a display-only accessory, it can indeed be slide onto the sleeve of the upper arm, but the arm itself must be removed first for that "configuration". ^^

Unlike the armband, the little "brigade chief" pyramid is for display only. ^^;

More action poses of Figma Haruhi to be featured in the next posting, which will be the last one for this review series. ^^
