Keropla God Keron Part 21

Super sticker business

This very-last-one-really-the-last-one-no-bluff-you batch of work on Keroro Plamo Collection God Keron after the add-on paint work did on a few parts earlier this month should be simple enough to get my mind off BB Senshi Sangokuden Asurao Moukaku Gundam, Syukuyuu Gundam and Kyoshin Elephant Set for a while. ^^

Based on the experience building Keropla Pururu Chief Medic, the type of paper stickers provided for this model kit series does poorly in adhering to their designated plastic surface. ^^; Instead of treating the issue when I start assembling any of the five kits, I think it's better to apply all the stickers onto their designated parts now.

All five sheets of paper stickers included for the entire bundled set, which are no difference that the ones given for their individual kits.

Trying out the unused edge of the sticker onto one of the parts. All seems fine with it, but a large flat surface chosen to test the sticker is hardly a challenge. ^^;

The very important team insignia sticker that needs to adhere to a part with uneven elevation worries me. ^^;

Stickers applied to the wing parts of Keroro Robo Mk-II.

The tool I used to strengthen the adhesiveness of the stickers to the plastic surface is actually something not exactly recommended for plastic models: superglue. ^^;
Extra fine dispenser nozzle is used to control the flow of the superglue fluid when used on the sticker.

Other tools used: a shaven toothpick to act as the "paint brush" to apply the superglue to the back of the stickers, a cotton swab to press on the stickers when they are applied and to wipe away excessive glue.

The loosening eye stickers on Keropla Pururu Chief Medic are the first stickers to be fixed using superglue, and it works. ^^

Keropla Pururu Chief Medic returns without any sticker dangling out on her anymore. ^^

I'm more relieved than happy that the team emblem sticker on Keroro Robo Mk-II's shield turned out fine. ^^

Two pieces of stickers on Tamama Robo Mk-II's shins can only to be applied when the parts are assembled in the future.

Repetitive work to apply all of Tamama's personal emblems onto his abdomen, hat, and thrusters of his robot. ^^

For their small size, the thruster parts are placed inside small medicine boxes, with each part inside a little compartment of its own. ^^

Among the three, the one for the robot's waist is the only personal emblem sticker used for Giroro. ^^

Of the two types of pupil sticker included for Giroro Robo Mk-II, I picked the angry stare type, which is a lot more characteristic of its owner. ^^

Made a mistake in applying the legs' stickers unfortunately. ^^; The one for the right leg is aligned wrongly. ^^;
The mistake won't be seen in robot mode, but the sticker is going to be upside-down in tank mode. ^^;

The only paper sticker pieces to be applied for Kururu Robo Mk-II are two small unit numberings on its shoulders.

(Left) Special foil sticker for Kururu Robo Mk-II's left eye.
(Right) Test fitting the parts to see how the left eye would look like when the parts are assembled.

Quite a few of options for Dororo Robo Mk-II's eyes. I picked the sticker which features a single solid pupil for the left eye, and stay with the eye patch (a separate part) for the right.

Two pieces of stickers on Dororo Robo Mk-II's shoulders can only to be applied when the parts are assembled in the future.

Just realized that the eyes of Dororo are the only pair which are realized through stickers. The rest of the team all have their eyes painted. ^^

Name stickers for the figure's display bases.
The left and right edges of the stickers need to be trimmed before they can be used as they are a little wider than the allocated name plates on the bases. ^^;

Tons of unused pieces on the five sheets. ^^

All done and completely done for the entire bundled set. ^^ This is indeed the very-last-one-really-the-last-one-no-bluff-you batch of work on Keropla God Keron before the final assembly can start. Well actually I can start on any one of the five when the work on their parts was done last year, since unlike earlier this month should be simple enough to get my mind off BB Senshi Sangokuden Asurao Moukaku Gundam, Syukuyuu Gundam and Kyoshin Elephant Set or the other bundled BB Senshi Sangokuden set kits, the work on God Keron was separated according to the five mecha. I suppose it's just personal preference to not start anything when there're still untreated parts in the same kit. Now that that's out of the way, the next giant phase in this super-long review series can begin. ^^

But not so soon. ^^;
