MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 9

Gold and silver day

Continuing with the work on Master Grade Sinanju Ver. Ka after the previous posting. ^^

Major parts identified for some golden details to be added to them.

(Left) Tiny bars inside the sunken area of the wing binders' engine blocks.
(Right) Frames of the elbow and forearm hydraulic pipes.

(Left) The tubes of the calf hydraulic pipes.
(Right) The top protruding rings of the pipes behind the beam axes' handles.

The frame around the large pipes behind the knee joint parts.

Other parts added to the work are the legs' frame parts, and two connectors that link the wing binders to the backpack.

As shown in the manual, two tiny vents on each of the leg frame parts have yellow interior, which automatically translate as "gold paint needed for the parts" to me. XD

Completely optional gold paint work will be applied to the frame parts of the rear skirt armors, and the head.

Since the top protruding rings on the beam axes' handle parts are going to be painted gold, similar parts on the chest block will be given the same treatment as well.

All the targeted parts are panel lined using a combination of normal panel liner, Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Black) first.

All the targeted parts are painted gold using Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold.

After the gold paint has dried, the pipe areas (often situated right next to the previously painted areas) are painted silver.

New bottle paint for the paint work above: Gaia Metallic Color No. 121 Star Bright Silver.

Closeups on the painted parts.

Realizing after the entire paint work that the top side of the rear skirt armor' frame parts are going to be exposed as well, the pipes at the edge of the parts are repainted to refine their appearance. ^^

Given the high part count of this MG kit, especially that of its inner frame, I'm pretty sure there will be new parts that will pop up along the way in the next few batches of work that would require the service of the two Gaia Metallic Color bottle paints used in this posting. ^^ So, I'm pretty sure these are not going to be the only inner frame parts featuring gold, and silver details on the completed model. ^^

Even more painting, and detailing on another bunch of selected parts from this MG kit coming up next. ^^
