BB Senshi Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam Part 7

Half-armored plain form

Assembling another long completed Gunpla after 1/100 Gundam Exia Roll Out Color Ver. in April, one that is of much smaller size this time. ^^

After BB Senshi Sangokuden Kochu Gundam, Sonsaku Physalis Gundam is my first BB Senshi Gunpla to be assembled in seven months. ^^;

Since I painted all the gold and red parts on the kit, only the eyes and sensor pieces from the foil sticker sheet would be needed. ^^

Parts of Kochu Gundam's main body.

All the parts with varying amount of applied paint work.

Foil sticker applied to the eyes.

All major separable components to form Sonsaku Physalis Gundam.

Done for the plain form of Sonsaku Physalis Gundam.

The one-piece Koteitou (虎錠刀) went through quite a bit of work for its sharp, shiny silvery blade to be realized. ^^

Either side of the blade has an extra clear green lens added in Part 6. ^^

A rather common "design point" of many kits from the BB Senshi Sangokuden line: the lower body in plain form which features nondetachable armor pieces is significantly larger than the upper body. ^^ As a result of that, the bulkier the completed form, the more disproportionate the two halves of the body would be in plain form, and that feature is significantly obvious on Sonsaku Physalis Gundam. ^^;

On the other hand, the optional gold paint work I did for the neck area, chest vents, and forehead served well to give the upper body a few small golden areas to match the lower body which is full of bling-bling. ^^ While the size is off as mentioned earlier on, at least there's a bit of visual consistency between the two halves of the body when it comes to color. ^^

Koteitou (虎錠刀) has a short straight peg on its crossguard that allows the sword to be attached onto the back of Sonsaku Physalis Gundam.

The pair of slots are actually meant to mount the Gundam's backpack.

Having just one sword is obviously not enough to project the Gundam's awesomeness, especially when the armors which make up more than half of the bulk are not equipped to the kit yet. ^^

The second part of Sonsaku Physalis Gundam's assembly, on its armors and the final completion will be up next. ^^
