HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatos Part 4

Continue to hide some of the whiteness

Continuing with the work on HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatos after Part 3. ^^

With excessive panel liner solution on the arm parts rubbed away using cotton swab soaked with thinner, and with additional line details added the usual way. ^^

Much like the thigh armor parts in Part 3, the sunken area behind the elbow area on the forearm armor parts is painted black to give the spot a sense of depth.

The same detailing method is repeated for the parts from the other two arms.

Those tiny tabs behind the one-piece bicep armor parts, which help to secure the latter to the frame parts when assembled are painted dark gray to render them "invisible" on the completed model. ^^
The parts are painted using Gundam Marker Dark Gray from the Gundam SEED set.

The edges of the painted inner side of the white hand parts are trimmed (with excessive paint scratched away using a knife) to match the connection with the hand parts.

For the bicep armor part of Form 1's left arm, the angled bar should be painted dark gray, a detail I completely missed until now.

For convenience of the paint work and due to my own laziness (XD) in not wanting to recreate that mixed paint in Part 3, the targeted area is simply painted using the Gundam Marker mentioned earlier on. ^^;

The connected front skirt armor joints are split so that each piece can move independently.

Simple panel lining for the waist and skirt armor parts.

Simple panel lining for the shield and katana handle.

The mace is panel lined using Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Gray) to bring out the weapon's shape and protruding areas.

With excessive panel liner solution on the arm parts rubbed away using cotton swab soaked with thinner. ^^

Just a few more parts to go before the work on this High Grade kit is complete. ^^
